Bottles Back by Sparklo
Terms of the collection sponsorship service
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms govern the collection sponsorship service (“Bottles Back by Sparklo”) provided by Sparklo, the UAE entity named on your receipt. By completing a purchase you agree to them.
1. What you buy
You pay Sparklo to collect and deliver to recycling the number of plastic bottles stated in your order, through Sparklo's reverse vending machine program in the selected country. In return you receive a public Bottles Back Record with a unique Record ID, a PDF confirmation, share images and, for companies, a public page and a licence to display the Bottles Back badge linking to that page.
2. This is a paid service
The price includes VAT where applicable and is shown before payment. This is not a charitable contribution and no part of it is a gift. You receive a receipt and, on request, a VAT invoice.
3. Claims you may make
You may state that you “brought N plastic bottles back into recycling with Sparklo” and reference your Record ID. You may not describe yourself, your products or your company as plastic neutral, plastic negative, offset or certified on the basis of a record.
4. How bottles are allocated
Sponsored volume is allocated only to machines that no brand pays for; each container is allocated to at most one record; monthly sales are capped by actual collection volumes, which Sparklo publishes per country.
5. Monthly plans
A monthly plan issues a new record each billing cycle. You can pause or cancel any time from your account; records already issued remain public.
6. Refunds
You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. The related record is then marked as voided; it stays online so the public numbering has no gaps.
7. Privacy of the sponsor name
You choose whether your record shows your full name, initials or “An anonymous sponsor”. Volume, country and date are always public.
8. Liability and law
Sparklo's liability is limited to the amount paid for the order concerned. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
9. Licence to use materials
For as long as a record is valid, Sparklo grants the sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable licence to use, in the sponsor's own channels, the materials issued with that record: the sponsor mark, the sentences of the wording pack, the share cards, the posts made in the account and the pictures of the library. The licence ends when the record is voided. It does not extend to any Sparklo trademark outside the files we issue, and it does not permit describing any product or company as plastic neutral, offset, credited or certified on the basis of a record.
